Baskonia will be actively involved by wearing the slogan of the capital on their heating shirts, both in ACB and Euroleague games
Labor Kutxa Baskonia and Deportivo Alavés reached a partnership deal with the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz in order to promote the title Vitoria-Gasteiz holds during this year, Gastronomy Capital 2014.
Both clubs represented by their presidents, Josean Querejeta and Alfonso Fernandez de Troconiz, presented details of the agreement this morning at a press conference in the City Hall along the mayor of the city, Javier Maroto.
“We are always ready to support our institutions when it comes to spreading and extolling the virtues of our land to other territories and beyond our borders. We always have been and will continue to be, that’s our commitment “has manifested the president of Saski Baskonia, Josean Querejeta.
Both clubs already collaborated last year by promoting the Green Capital title and they are ready to do it again this year. In This case they are going to do it by sporting the motto of Vitoria-Gasteiz Gastronomy Capital 2014 in the official heating jerseys worn by Baskonia in both, Spanish ACB League and Euroleague.

The City Council and the group of services/facilities/restaurant owners of the city is decided that Vitoria-Gasteiz has to take advantage of this opportunity and become a reference in the world. Therefore, Baskonia joins this movement and launches a cooperation agreement “That will provide a national and international coverage to the Vitoria-Gasteiz 2014 Gastronomy Capital. Baskonia is the best ambassador of Alava in Spain and throughout Europe, and we are proud of it, “stressed the president.
In addition to the official heating jerseys Laboral Kutxa Baskonia will use different assets to promote the Gastronomy Capital title:
- Presence in the Led screen in all matches played in the Buesa Arena.
- Overlays and promotional spots during broadcasts of Euroleague games in Etb.
- Campaign broadcasting in the Buesa Arena main scoreboard.
- Possibility of using the image of our players in communication campaigns on the Gastronomy Capital 2014.
