The Vitorian chefs, representing the restaurant industry of the city, will be in charge of designating the semi-final matches for the first tournament of the season.
Patxi Eceiza, from Zaldiaran restaurant, and Iñaki Moya, from Ikea restaurant, representing all the chefs from Vitoria-Gasteiz, will be in charge of picking the balls out of the bowls for the Endesa Supercup draw that is going to be held in the Escoriaza-Esquivel Palace next Wednesday the 10th.
The gastronomic capital status of Vitoria-Gasteiz will be very present in the draw thanks to the presence of these two local and prestigious chefs. They will leave the kitchen aside for a day in order to become the innocent hands to designate the matches for the inaugural tournament of the season.
Saski Baskonia is always ambitious to support the initiatives that give notoriety to the city. The main role of the chefs in the draw take advantage of one of the most important national basketball tournaments in order to provide greater projection to the Gastronomic Capital status of the city. It´s all about chipping in to consolidate the strengths of Vitoria-Gasteiz as a touristic destination.
The draw of the 2014 Endesa Supercup will feature the presence of Javier Maroto, Major of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Javier de Andres, General Deputy of Araba, Juan Ignacio Motiloa, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy and Francisco Roca, Executive President of the ACB. Also representatives from the four participant teams FC Barcelona, Laboral Kutxa, Real Madrid and Valencia Basket will be present.
